Coping
We produce pool coping in our Burgundy factory in genuine natural Burgundy limestone varieties: Beaunotte, Semond light or blended, Lanvignes and Massangis light beige. We manufacture coping in standard 30 or 40 mm thicknesses, but also in more solid thicknesses 80 – 100 – 120 – 150 mm to produce an antique “basin” pool effect. Widths vary between 300 and 600 mm, standard widths being 300 – 400 – 500 mm. We avoid fixed lengths to distinguish our natural products from reconstructed stone. We suggest random lengths of between 600 and 900 mm as this is more economical, easier to fix, and more esthetical.
The finish is either brushed (slight ripple), or rustic (bush-hammered and brushed with lightly chiselled arrises (corners). One or two edges can have the same finish as the face if they are exposed. The sides are usually straight with a 5 mm chamfer. They can have an R = 10 mm radius on the top arris.
For 30 and 40 mm thicknesses a full bullnose is possible. We have equipment to produce undercut coping (with a heel or ‘L’ shaped). We can also produce cut-to-size products to your specifications, either in thickness or width.
